About

HALDANE MARTIN TM established in 2002, is a leading contemporary South African furniture design company based in Cape Town South Africa.
The furniture collection consists of 31 unique, furniture products all originally designed and produced in South Africa. The designs have won a number of design awards, and have been exhibited in New York, London, Paris, Oslo, Stockholm, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. The furniture has been featured extensively in the local press and international newspapers and design publications. Haldane has also been a guest speaker at Design Indaba in 2007.
The main markets that we are active in, is the high end domestic and hospitality market. We reach these markets through the interior design trade, select retailers locally and abroad.
We produce our furniture by outsourcing component manufacturing to specialized engineers and furniture manufacturers all over South Africa. We manage the outsourcing, control quality, assembly and logistics from our studio / showroom / warehouse in Woodstock.
The team of 15 staff members is headed up by owner / director / designer - Haldane Martin. Born in Johannesburg in 1970, qualified as an Industrial Designer in 1992, father to four beautiful children.
